We turn the weekend into the perfect mix of Eastern Shore nature and small town charm. We'll paddle Onancock Creek at sunset for a beach supper, Chesapeake Bay marshes and seaside islands by day, and reward you at a charming B&B and dinner out in the 1680 Colonial port town of Onancock, VA. Add an introductory tandem hang gliding flight with Virginia Hanggliding, a kayak winery tour with SouthEast Expeditions, a boat trip out to the island community of Tangier, or a post-paddle massage! Lodging is included at an historic, family-run B&B in Onancock that is walking or biking distance to shops, galleries and eateries.
Main Stage Series
THE BARE & THE CUBBE
by Cartland Berge
Celebrating 350 years of theatre on the Eastern Shore! Written by local playwright Cartland Berge, this play tells the story of the first play performed in English in the New World on August 27, 1665, at Fowke's Tavern in Pungoteague, right here on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Historical information about the original performance is taken from the Accomack County court records of 1665. NSP produced the world premiere of this recreated tale in 2007.
