Welcome to the Chincoteague Pony Centre, home of the oldest established breeder of Misty family ponies. We have the largest herd of Misty family ponies on the Island. For a wonderful family experience to see and interact with real Chincoteague ponies, this is the best place to visit. Meet the descendants of Misty, (special thanks to the Allen family, owners of Misty's closest relatives). Sit down and enjoy a movie or stroll around the stables. There are many collectibles and antiques to look at or just relax with a cool drink and let life drift by. We offer pony rides, riding lessons, pony day camps and a gift shop filled with unique items including a large collection of Breyer models!

Pony rides, Horseback lessons designed with tourist horse enthusiasts in mind, pony rides for the little ones, pony day camps for the kids, and more are all part of the daily life at the Chincoteague Pony Centre.

This stately historic Federal-style home turned museum has been authentically restored to its 1799 roots, welcoming visitors back to the world of John Shepherd Ker in the thriving port of Onancock. Docent guided tours are available which interpret life on an Eastern Shore plantation back in the early 19th century. Exhibits expand to the newly opened cellar and on the attractive grounds.

If you are 11-15 years old, interested in spaceships, aerodynamics, microgravity, robotics, rocket assembly and launching, and weather, then Space Flight Adventure Camp is the place to be this summer!

All programs are a mixture of excitement and fun, with hands-on experiences. Come and meet new friends and enjoy the adventure of learning about space.

Established in 1998, Space Flight Adventure Camps are held near the Wallops Flight Facility, an operational NASA installation located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and adjacent to Chincoteague Island, a picturesque family vacation destination.
