Clay Werks offers complementary design services to assist clients in creating their tile layout and guide them through Clay Werks wide selection of tile, wood or stone. Once the client has visited our showroom and selected materials, an appointment for a free estimate can be scheduled. A clearly written proposal is provided specifying materials to be used along with the design. To help clients visualize how their choices will look in their home, we provide samples to borrow and “live with.” Because so many of our clients live out of the area, samples can be shipped and proposals sent via email. Moonrise Jewelry is locally-owned business specializing in high-quality artisan jewelry, handcrafted on Virginia's Eastern Shore.  Designer Meredith Restein began her journey as an artist/entrepreneur in her father's pharmacy at the age of nine, selling “sculptures” made from seashells she collected near her Chesapeake Bay home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. After studying in Chile and receiving her B.A. in Spanish and Anthropology from Tulane University, Meredith returned to her roots along the sandy shores of Cherrystone Inlet, home to six generations of her family.  There she discovered a love for wearable art and saw its potential to create new opportunities in her rural community. 

A self-taught jewelry designer and entrepreneur since 2002, Meredith grew her business piece by piece– continually refining her style, providing exceptional customer service, and striving to make a positive impact in her community and beyond. Along the way, she trained domestic violence victims, teenagers, artists, and friends to assist with her cottage industry. Meredith worked with suppliers worldwide to source eco-friendly components like recycled silver and fair trade gems, and has donated thousands of dollars to charities using her jewelry as a fundraising tool.  Her efforts soon caught the eye of national press and Moonrise Jewelry has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, TLC’s What Not to Wear, Lucky magazine, and Meryl Streep’s Green Guide.

Moonrise Jewelry’s signature style has evolved into a colorful brand of wearable art inspired by Meredith’s love of the world's most beautiful coasts, including the one she calls home.  Committed to providing her customers with high-quality jewelry they won't find anywhere else, Meredith continues to seek out innovative new elements for her designs, like Real Orchid Blossoms and “Reel” Fish Leather made from discarded salmon skins. THMICC has a museum/visitors center, a walking history trail, a nature trail and water trails, with free use of kayaks and canoes.
